This experience was disappointing. Staff remained friendly and courteous. However, shuttle uber service was terminated recently and I had to return twice as my steering wheel was not able to be correctly aligned. Once by oversight and a second time due to a mechanical mystery. The plus: they did a thorough review by taking apart and rebuilding the axle and finally resolving the problem. Basically, they lose a star for oversight (can happen to all of us) and a star for drop in courtesy service.

Robert was attentive, very pleasurable and had amazing customer service. I come to college park Hyundai all the time and he’s by far the best customer service rep I’ve come across there.

I was there for an oil change. I know that with newer models things take a little more time but the wait is unbearable. It is hours. The staff is friendly and communicates through out the process. He was incredibly responsive in the lead-up- multiple calls and texts about the vehicle, most of it over a weekend- and gave us straight answers on price and fees every time we asked. He also held the car from other appointments so we could make the trip up on Monday, which he absolutely didn't have to do. They honored my CarMax quote on my trade-in, and financing in-house was a breeze, so everything was taken care of without multiple parties having to be involved. I am at a loss for words for how to describe my experience. I went in for an oil change and came out four hours later. Two days prior, I turned my car in for a recall. Check-in was fast and the service rep went over the service for the car. Great communication. Service was completed promptly.

Customer service was excellent. My only suggestion is to offer a warranty with the wheel alignment like other place do.

Everyone was very courteous. They did the job quickly and efficiently. I thought we'd be there all day because we had some recalls and maintenance, but we were out in a few hours. Great job!

I needed an inspection and some scheduled service and am new to the area. I spoke with Adrienne on the phone and she was helpful, informative and very accurate. Luckily, I dealt with her when I got there and she was equally professional and reassuring that everyone would be done. I am writing this review to protect other customers from what I experienced at Hyundai College Park Service Center. What happened to me was not a simple case of poor customer service — it was dangerous, dishonest, and deeply unprofessional from the service floor all the way up to general manager Joseph. My transmission failed on the highway in 2025 with no warning and was repaired under warranty at this location. In January 2026 the exact same transmission failed again on the highway — complete shutdown at highway speed with zero warning. I had my car towed back to Hyundai College Park where they confirmed the failure, accepted the vehicle for repair, and provided me with a rental car. What followed was four months of complete silence. My car sat at this dealership from January 2026 through May 2026 and I received not a single proactive update. I reached out multiple times and was largely ignored. When I finally received a response in April 2026 I was told they were working on getting Hyundai corporate to authorize the warranty repair. I was patient. I waited. On May 21, 2026 my service advisor called to tell me my car was ready. He explicitly told me the transmission had been fully repaired and that Hyundai corporate had covered the entire cost under warranty. I was relieved after four months of waiting and went to pick up my car the following day. On May 22, 2026 I paid $1,300 for exhaust services and drove off the lot. Within 15 minutes my transmission failed for the third time. My car shut down completely while I was executing a turn in an active turning lane in live traffic. I had just enough time to notice the car jerking, call the dealership to warn them, and then my car died in the middle of the road leaving me stranded and in danger. When I called the dealership after this third breakdown, general manager Joseph admitted in a recorded phone conversation that the transmission had never been repaired at any point during the four months my car was in their possession. He told me the car was released not because the repairs were complete but because the dealership wanted their rental car back. He made a deliberate decision to release my vehicle knowing the transmission was unrepaired and unsafe and said nothing to me about it. The unprofessionalism did not stop there. When my family contacted Joseph demanding answers and an explanation for why I was allowed to drive off in an unsafe vehicle, he was shockingly rude, smug, and completely dismissive. He showed absolutely no remorse for the fact that his decision endangered my life. He did not apologize once. Instead he told us not to put any more money into the car and refused to reimburse my $178 rental car expense — a cost I was forced to incur solely because of his team's negligence. When I called again on May 26, 2026, Joseph maintained the same arrogant and unapologetic attitude, claiming the transmission was no longer under warranty despite the fact that my 2020 Elantra has only 95,000 miles and is still within Hyundai's 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. To summarize what this dealership and Joseph did: they held my car for four months without repairing it, called me to say it was fixed when it was not, sent me off in a vehicle they knew was dangerous, my transmission failed within 15 minutes putting my life at risk for the third time, and when confronted Joseph was rude, dismissive, unapologetic, and showed zero accountability or basic human decency toward me or my family. If you are considering bringing your vehicle to Hyundai College Park Service Center, please take this review seriously.
